Day-by-day

  1. Day 1

    Arrival & scenic drive to Fort Portal

    Pick-up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel. Drive through scenic countryside and tea plantations to the tourism city of Fort Portal. Overnight at a lodge on the edge of Kibale Forest.

  2. Day 2

    Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi swamp walk

    Morning briefing at Kanyanchu Visitor Centre followed by chimpanzee tracking through Kibale Forest. Afternoon guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, rich in primates and forest birdlife.

  3. Day 3

    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Morning transfer south towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, with views of the Rwenzori Mountains along the way. Evening game drive across the Kasenyi plains in search of lion, elephant and buffalo.

  4. Day 4

    Game drive & Kazinga Channel boat safari

    Sunrise game drive tracking lion, leopard and elephant. Afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, home to one of Africa's densest concentrations of hippo and Nile crocodile.

  5. Day 5

    Return journey to Kampala / Entebbe

    Morning departure back toward Kampala or Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator line for photographs and craft shopping before the airport transfer.
